We also enjoy helping area newcomers feel welcomed and supported as they settle into the community, offering guidance and reassurance whenever needed.

SCHOOL IN JAMAICA
Powdersville Self Storage is teaming up with locals outside of Montego Bay, Jamaica, in a rural town called Pumpkin Bottom, to help school children. While traveling in this area, and talking with some of the town folk, we discovered that there was a desperate need to help provide school supplies for some local children, as well as providing an individual to teach them.
In this rural and remote area, children attend school outside, on the ground – literally on the ground. There is no building to provide a school for the children. The ages of the children range from first grade through fifth. Most of them have never had the opportunity to attend school. A nearby hotel is furnishing blankets and towels so that the children will have a comfortable spot to sit while being schooled.
Powdersville Self Storage is currently sponsoring nine (9) children in this rural area, along with paying a young man to serve as the children’s school instructor. We are wanting to be able to furnish school supplies for 16 more children.

Our mission goes beyond providing safe and convenient storage solutions – we are deeply committed to serving our community and extending support to those in need. We recognize that life presents challenges and unique circumstances, and our team is dedicated to offering compassionate assistance to make transitions easier for anyone facing hardships. Whether it’s helping local families, area newcomers, we take pride in being a trusted and supportive presence alongside our mission partners.
Locally, our mission partners include organizations such as In His Arms Ministry – Halle’s House, Upstate Warriors Solution, Samaritan’s Purse International Disaster Relief, and the Powdersville High School Marching Band. We are also proud supporters of Shriners Children’s Hospital, Rice for Kids in Africa, and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, ensuring our efforts reach a wide range of causes.
Beyond our community, Powdersville Self Storage and our mission partners are teaming up with locals in Pumpkin Bottom, Jamaica, to provide children with school supplies and education. Currently, we sponsor nine children and a teacher, with plans to support sixteen more. Through these efforts with our mission partners, we aim to create meaningful change, demonstrating that our mission is about compassion, care, and empowering others to thrive.
